Hajom Kissor Singh memorial Secondary School, Jowai is a
school run and managed by the Unitarian Church, Jowai. The School is one of the
prominent Schools in the Jaintia Hills District of Meghalaya. On the occasion
of the celebration of the Country’s Republic Day on January 26, 2012, the
School was adjudged the Second best parade contingent in the School
category.
Prizes were distributed by Dr. R.C. Laloo Minister of
Revenue, Soil Conservation etc Government of Meghalaya. There are more than 20
schools from the entire town took part in the Republic Day parade and the first
prize was bagged by St. Mary’s Mazzerello Girls Higher Secondary School and the
third prize was bagged by the Jowai Police Public School.
